Why did you choose AU?
Averett was close to home but it felt far away at the same time. My first time on campus, it was beautiful, sunny and filled with warm smiles. My tour of Averett was phenomenal. I loved all of the greenery and flowers. I fell in love with my own secret garden.
What’s your favorite place on campus?
My favorite place on campus is anywhere outside. I loved sitting on the front porch of the bookstore, main hall, and on the great lawn.
What’s your favorite class taken at Averett?
My favorite class was Dr. Rosenberg’s, Helping Relations psychology course. In this class, we watched ourselves on camera, analyzed our communication styles and non-verbal. It’s important to know social cues, and have respect for the differences in each other. I hold these skills dear to my heart and use them daily.
