Why did you choose AU?

I chose Averett because of the family feel. Coming from South Carolina, I was far from home with no relatives. Averett’s faculty and staff made me feel right at home.

What’s your favorite place on campus?

My favorite place on campus is in front of the main hall. As an undergrad, I used to sit on the benches in front and marvel at the columns. Just being there did wonders for me; it was a place of peace and relaxation.

What’s your favorite class taken at Averett?

My favorite was Dr. Ferguson’s Sport Psychology class. I learned the mental aspect of sports and how it plays a vital role in being successful on the field. I took those principles and applied them to being successful in life.
